A small, friendly development team based in Cornwall UK, Studio 316 dedicated to creating and delivering engaging, meaningful games and digital content that can captivate players worldwide. We have an exciting opportunity to join our team and assist in the creation of PACS, a title with publishing support and over 150,000 wishlists. Job Type: 6 Month Contract (potential to extend)
Hours: 35 (Full Time)
Salary:  Starting from £34k (Depending on Experience)
Location: Remote

What you will be up to…

  • You will be working alongside our lead programmer and collaborating with the rest of the PACS development team.
  • Contributing to the design, development and implementation of gameplay systems or required features for PACS.
  • Analyse and refactor code for optimisations within projects you are involved in.
  • Anticipate, identify and articulate potential errors or problem areas within project developments. 
  • Maintaining a high level of development standards and improving your practises
  • Upholding our commitment to a safe and inclusive workspace. 

What we are looking for…

  • Great demonstrable understanding of Unreal Engine 
  • Demonstrable experience working on P2P Multiplayer Networked titles
  • Good and demonstrable understanding of C++ with Unreal Engine 
  • Demonstrable experience working on large open world projects
  • Great and demonstrable understanding of Blueprints with Unreal Engine
  • Great knowledge and understanding of Git processes and practises 
  • A great team player capable of working with a dynamic team 
  • A keen problem solver with a creative mind for finding solutions

Bonus Points if…

  • Experience working on console platforms 
  • You have shipped a title professionally or personally
  • Any understanding and experience working with UMG Widgets & Common UI
  • Demonstrable experience working with physics based systems or Vehicle Physics
  • Any experience and understanding of local and or cloud Save Games with Unreal Engine
  • Any experience working with unreal RepGraph
  • Any knowledge and demonstrable experience with C#, Javascript or any other languages.
  • Any experience interfacing with external APIs 
  • Any experience working with 3rd party SDKs (in UE)
  • Any experience using or creating automated workflows such as CI/CD

Studio 316 is a small development team based in Cornwall UK, started as a student team in 2021 from Falmouth University, we have since grown to become a game development consultant team working with a wide variety of projects and client needs using these exciting projects to fund our own internal IP developments. 

We are dedicated to creating and delivering captivating games and digital content that can captivate players worldwide. Our mission goes beyond game development; we aim to cultivate a trustworthy, inclusive space for developing talent with creative freedom, equal opportunity, and transparency.

Now over 4 years old, we are working on creating and shipping our first internal IP in PACS with the support of a very cool publisher.
